The Family Fellows program at LCC invites parents, caregivers, and family members to play an active role in helping our students—and our college—thrive.
Whether you’re supporting a first-year student or just getting to know the college environment yourself, you bring valuable experience, insight, and heart to the table. Family Fellows help shape programs, welcome other families, and show what strong support looks like.
What Do Family Fellows Do?
As a Family Fellow, you’ll:
- Learn about the college experience and the resources available to your student
- Help shape and co-host bilingual events for other families
- Share your ideas to improve student and family support
- Serve as a trusted voice in your community
You don’t need to be an expert or have college experience—we’ll guide you through it all. What matters is your interest in supporting students and building stronger connections between families and the college.
Why It Matters
For many students, college is a big leap—not just for them, but for their families too. When families are welcomed, informed, and involved, students are more confident and more likely to succeed. Family Fellows are at the heart of this support network.
Recognition and Support
- Bilingual materials and support from the ASPIRA team
- Recognition at events and in college communications
- Opportunities to share your story and inspire others
Who Can Join?
Any parent, guardian, or family member of an LCC student—or of a student in one of our partner high schools—is welcome to apply or be nominated. You don’t need to know everything about college to make a difference here.
