Become an entrepreneur and create income by designing and offering your own class!
Using the equipment in the maker space (or just simply using our space), YOU supply the materials for the project and YOU set the class fee per person.
If you are using our equipment, you and all of your students must be certified on that machine.
Lamar Community College will charge you a minimum fee of $45.00 for a four-hour time period in which to conduct your class. This minimum fee covers you and up to five students. Every additional person will be $10.00.
All Master Certified Volunteers instruct, aid, support, and encourage students and community members in creating their own projects from start to finish.
These trainers have been trained on Maker Space machinery and have access to the maker space whenever they wish, with the exception of the times that LCC classes are in session. In exchange, they volunteer each month either instructing or holding open hours.
The Makerspace Mentor Program will allow active seniors to mentor youth in the Innovate & Make Space. Existing Master Volunteers may also participate in this mentoring program. For more information on this new offering, please call Larry McLemore at (719) 336-1584 for more information
