High School Diploma

An Affordable Program Built for Working Adults

This program is for adults who have not earned a U.S. high school diploma. This program costs only $50, with support such as tutoring and advising, and will allow you to work at your pace – fast or slow – to get to completion.

Lamar Community College (LCC), a leader in accessible and affordable education, is proud to offer a tuition-free high school diploma program for adults. With only a one-time $50 fee, the program provides a convenient and low-cost pathway for individuals seeking to complete their high school diploma. Earning a high school diploma can expand employment opportunities, provide access to federal financial aid, and create a seamless transition into certificate and degree programs at LCC.

The new diploma program was made possible by the passage of Senate Bills 23-007 and 24-51 and approval from The State Board for Community Colleges and Occupational Education. This allows LCC to develop new diploma standards and programs that are relevant for adult learners.

This program is dedicated to supporting adults who have not earned a high school diploma and are ready to take the next step in their education. This in-person program allows you to take all your classes at once or pace them out to fit your schedule. You will participate in a regular classroom setting alongside other college students, gaining a true college experience from the start.
