The Colorado Community College System’s (CCCS) Bridge to Bachelor’s Degree Program guarantees that new, first-time students at any CCCS College (like us!) will be admitted to a participating four-year college or university after completing their associate degree.

How to Apply to the Bridge to Bachelor’s Degree program
New, first-time students at LCC:
Indicate that you want to participate in the Bridge to Bachelor’s Degree program when filling out your LCC application.
Review your intended degree and program with your LCC advisor to make sure they are eligible
LCC accepts anyone who applies; entrance exams (ACT, SAT, etc.) are not required for admission to the college or to participate in this program
Existing LCC students in their first semester:
Contact your advisor and express interest in signing up for the Bridge to Bachelor’s Degree program
Requirements to Transfer to a Bridge to Bachelor’s Degree partnering college/university:
A first-time LCC student must:
Opt-in the program at the start of your associate degree program or within your first semester
Maintain a 2.0 minimum GPA
Complete any Associate of Arts (AA) or Associate of Science (AS) Degree.
Frequently Asked Questions
All new, first-time students are encouraged to participate. This includes students who have completed high school or GED and have no prior college experience, except for those who took concurrent enrollment in high school.
The Bridge to Bachelor’s Program Is structured to allow both institutions to work together to maximize support to students through completion, without having to retake credits, take additional credits, or take out additional debt.
This Program is perfect for students who want or plan to attend a university even if they were denied admission previously. LCC accepts anyone who applies and all new, first-time students may sign up for this program, which guarantees them admission to a participating university.
No testing or specific GPA is required. LCC guarantees admission at a participating university to all new, first-time students.
When filling out your application to LCC, select that you are interested in participating in the Bridge to Bachelor’s Degree Program and choose your top two university choices to transfer to upon completion of your associate degree. Don’t worry if you don’t make these selections. While in your first semester, you can sign up for the program and can choose your university with the help of your advisor.
The Bridge to Bachelor’s Degree Program is only open to new, first-time students in their first semester. There are many other transfer opportunities. Visit the MAP Center to learn more.
Your LCC advisor and the transfer advisor at your choice university will begin working with you to ensure you are on the right track to successfully complete your associate degree and transfer smoothly on to the university.
Any degree program is eligible. However, you must talk with your advisor when choosing your 4-year college or university to make sure you apply to an institution that offers your major.

Universities automatically receive information about students in the program and continue receiving academic updates. Students will also get communication from their chosen university for support and a smooth transition.
You are welcome to remain in the program, in case you change your mind. If you no longer want to participate, please contact your community college advisor.
Students who successfully sign up for the Bridge to Bachelor’s Degree Program will need to maintain a 2.0 minimum GPA and complete an AA or AS degree from a CCCS College.
