How to Apply

Applying to the Horse Training & Management and Equine Business Management programs at LCC is a quick and easy five-step process.  Follow the steps below and get started today!

Step 1

First, complete the Lamar Community College Application for Admission.  You can apply online or request that an application be mailed to you.

• Apply online – Note: for first time users, select the “Create New Account” link.
• To request a print application, please call (719) 336-1590 or (800) 968-6920.  You can also write to:

Step 2

Send your official transcripts with the LCC Application for Admission to:

Step 3

Fill out the Equine Prospective Student Questionnaire. You can complete the questionnaire online or contact the HTM Department to request a print version:

Step 4

After you’ve applied and completed the questionnaire, wait for notification of admission to the college.  You will receive a letter in the mail notifying you of your official admission and your assigned advisor. If you don’t receive a letter or have additional questions, please contact our Equine Program advisors:

Step 5

Once you’ve received your notification of admission and your advisor assignment, contact your advisor to set up an appointment.
