The Lamar Community College Cosmetology Salon will open its doors to the public on Tuesday, June 13, for the summer semester. The salon’s hours will be Tuesday through Thursday from 1:00-5:00pm.
Kendra King, Cosmetology faculty, is excited for the opening day.
“There’s a new energy in the Salon this summer,” she said. “We would love for you to come out, see what it’s about, and support our students.”
The Nail Tech students have several big events planned for the summer including an Aloha Day, “Come Red, White, and Blue with Us” Day, and an event for LCC alumni. Event details to follow.
Students in the Cosmetology department focus on nails over the summer, with students completing their Nail Tech certificate. However, the salon will offer full services over the summer.
“We’re excited to have several Cosmetology students continuing from the spring who can continue to do hair and skin services,” King said.
LCC students and community members alike can visit the salon to take advantage of discounted services such as haircuts, colors, and styling as well as brow and lip waxing services, manicures, pedicures, and more.
The LCC Cosmetology Salon is located in the lower level of the Trustees Building. To make an appointment, call 719.336.4408. Walk-ins are welcome.
