Resources

We have over 10,000 print titles, several online databases filled with scholarly articles, hundreds of DVDs, and numerous local and nationwide periodicals.


  1. Click on https://catalog.aspencat.info/
  2. Search for your topic
  3. Select “Available at” on the left side of the screen and choose the “Lamar Community College” filter

We offer a wide range of electronic resources via the CCCS Online Library. Look through multiple databases at once for eBooks, scholarly journals, and more to find what you need for your projects.

Log in with your Student ID (your S#), and search a wide range of resources.

Services

From books to laptops, see how we help you thrive.

  • Books may be borrowed for two weeks; DVDs and periodicals for one week.
  • Items may be renewed if there are no holds.
  • Free wireless internet is available for your devices.
  • Interlibrary loan
    • Need an item we don’t have? Borrow up to two items from other libraries at the circulation desk. The loan period is set by the lending library.
    • Please note: It can take up to two weeks or more to receive materials.
  • Copies
    • Print what you need in black and white or color at no charge!
    • We comply with the Copyright Law.
  • Computers
    • We have six computers in the library and a computer lab in Bowman 129.
    • Students, use your own S number and password to log in.
  • Laptop Check-out
    • Students can check out laptops for a semester on a first come, first serve basis.

Learning Hubs

You know we have research materials. Did you know we have spaces for you to comfortably study solo or with a group, or even take a break?

  • STEM Conference Room
    • This room has digital presentation equipment for classes, organizations, and even informal student groups to use.
  • The bistro area
    • Sip your drink or have a snack while you do research or take a study break.
  • The alcove
    • Sink into our comfortable seating and enjoy the scenic view of Willow Creek.
  • The reading area
    • Take your pick between easy chairs, couches, and worktables to get to work and get those grades!

Special Collections

We have an Archives and Special Collections Department for your research needs. This department is funded by a generous grant from the American Recovery Plan Act and the Institute of Museum and Library Sciences.

Walter-Hobbs Collection (HOBBS)

This 800-volume collection was donated by former LCC faculty member, Dr. Howard W. Hobbs. The collection features science, military history, and other miscellaneous titles.


LCC & the Lamar Public Library

LCC students also have access to the services and resources provided by the Lamar Public Library located at 102 East Parmenter Street in Lamar. Students who use the Lamar Public Library will need a card issued by the public library.
