Join Lamar Community College for Lopes Day on April 14, 2022

(Lamar, Colo.) – Lamar Community College (LCC) welcomes the public to Lopes Day, an event of fun, celebration and essential information on how to get started at the college.

The day’s events include:
11:00 a.m.: The MAP to Success Center Ribbon Cutting at the Betz Technology Center
11:30 a.m.: Student Union Ribbon Cutting at the Betz Technology Center
12:00 p.m.: Elevator Project Ribbon Cutting, at Bowman East & Bowman West
12:30 p.m.: CTE (Career & Technical Education) Building Ribbon Cutting
1:00 p.m.: Outdoor Lunch (in case of inclement weather, lunch will be inside the CTE Building)

An Open House and Career Fair will follow for the remainder of the event. The MAP to Success Center will be open and ready to help you explore career options. LCC department leaders will be on hand to share information and answer questions regarding their programs. Student services will be open to discuss financial aid options and scholarship options and to help future students enroll and register.

“We are so excited to gather for our grand openings and ribbon cuttings for our many new spaces,” said LCC President Dr. Linda Lujan. “We will also showcase programs and services at the Open House and Career Event being planned by Student Services and the MAP to Success Center. It will be a busy day and a wonderful opportunity to showcase our college. All are welcome, including our current and future students.
