Accelerated Study in Academic Pathways (ASAP) is a nationally recognized college success model originally developed by the City University of New York to support students in completing their degrees on time. The program combines structured academic advising, intentional student engagement, and coordinated financial and personal supports, and has demonstrated strong outcomes in improving persistence, academic momentum, and graduation rates for students pursuing associate degrees.
Colorado is implementing an official replication of the ASAP model through a statewide partnership led by the Colorado Opportunity Scholarship Initiative, with philanthropic support from Arnold Ventures. This approach brings a proven framework to Colorado while allowing participating colleges to implement the model in ways that reflect their students, communities, and institutional context.
