Lamar Community College has officially been recognized by CDHE as a First-Generation Serving Institution. This designation reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting and empowering first-generation students as they pursue their educational goals.
At LCC, during the 2024–2025 academic year, 56% of our students were first-generation college students.
