LCC announces holiday closures

Lamar Community College’s fall semester has officially come to an end and the holidays are near.  The LCC campus will be closed starting Monday, December 25, and will reopen on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, so that faculty and staff can spend time with their families.

Certain departments on campus will have additional closures including the Tutoring Lab, Library, and Fitness Center.

The Tutoring Lab closed at the end of the finals week and will reopen again when classes start on January 15.  Sunday tutoring will resume that following weekend on January 21.

The Library will be closed starting Monday, December 18, and will reopen with the rest of campus on January 2.

The Fitness Center will be closed for only three days: Saturday, December 23, through Monday, December 25.  They will resume regular hours on Tuesday, December 26. For additional information, contact the Fitness Center at 719.336.1672.

Registration is currently open for the spring semester at LCC.  Individuals interested in registering for courses should plan to come in to campus and meet with an advisor prior to the holiday closure, if possible, or as soon as possible after campus reopens on January 2.

The residence halls and cafeteria will re-open for the spring semester on Thursday, January 11, with classes scheduled to start on January 15, 2018.
