Commencement and Pinning Photos are In!

Below are the links for both the LCC Nurse Pinning Ceremony and the LCC Graduation Ceremony photos. Digital copies are free and if you would like to order prints, please contact the photographer directly. Also because of the weather, a few students had their faces obscured by their hair blowing across right as she took the photos. Please contact the photographer directly if you are one of those students and would like a re-shoot.

82nd Commencement Ceremony

The graduates of 2021 and their family and friends are invited to participate in the 82nd Annual LCC Commencement Ceremony on May 8th, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. outdoors at the Lamar Community College Wellness Center. If graduates are able to attend, we are planning a special recognition for the Class of 2020 during the 2021 ceremony. Here are a few points to consider when preparing to attend the ceremony:

  • As this will be an outdoor-uncovered event, we ask that you dress for Lamar weather. Fans and water will be available once you near the audience seating area.
  • Please make sure to bring your mask and abide by the 6-foot social distancing requirement for family groups.
  • Please review parking map and ensure you give yourself enough time to park and walk to the venue.
  • Due to the pandemic-related change in this year’s commencement location, venue parking options are extremely limited and physically removed from the event location. Students and their families will be able to attend the event in person but will have to park at a distance from their seating area. The distance and terrain may make it difficult for attendees with mobility considerations. Some families may prefer virtual ceremony attendance (via the livestream link below) this year due to the limited handicapped accessibility.
  • The event will be livestreamed for those who are unable to attend in person.

Additional information to help you plan is listed below:

  • Parking Map
  • Venue Layout
  • 4-21-21 Letter to Graduates
  • Students, please check your email for the link to the Friday, May 7, 2:00 p.m. virtual rehearsal
  • LCC has engaged a photographer to snap pictures of graduates on stage. Those photos will be available at no charge on this site mid-May.
  • As you take pictures and post on social media, please use the hashtag #LopesGrad2021

Antelope Night

Congratulations to each outstanding, award-winning Lamar student and graduate! Antelope Night is LCC’s student awards night, celebrating student accomplishments both inside the classroom and out. This year, we’ve brought it to everyone as a Virtual Antelope Night on Facebook. (LamarCC Facebook) We will also be mailing diplomas/certificates, official transcripts, and diploma covers so we ask for graduates to please make sure their mailing address is correct in their student portal. We also encourage faculty, staff, and students to use #LopesGrad2021 when posting your recognitions on your personal social media accounts so we can all join in the celebration.
