Early Childhood Director Certificate

This program provides the state-designated entry-level requirements for working in early care and education settings. To meet state licensing requirements, please see additional requirements and for any other requirements to be licensed by the state of Colorado.

Upon completion of the Early Childhood Education Director certificate program, students should be able to:

  1. Establish professional and ethical interactions with colleagues, children, and families
  2. Implement responsive routines and environments to support the development of (typical and atypical) infants, toddlers, and children, including effective guidance and      management techniques
  3. Observe and assess infant, toddler, and child development
  4. Create a supportive, engaging, and inclusive classroom community
  5. Design, implement, and evaluate developmentally and culturally appropriate learning experiences and environments
  6. Manage Early Childhood Education programs (e.g., ethical decision making, resource management)
